Steak Skewers

Umami 33 Steak Skewers

  • 2 lbs top sirloin steak, cut into 1” cubes
  • Button mushrooms
  • Bamboo or stainless steel skewers
  • 8 cloves garlic, processed or very finely chopped
  • 2” piece of ginger, peeled and grated
  • 1 ¼ cup Umami 33
  • 1 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1-2 tsp freshly ground black pepper

 

Instructions

Mix the garlic, ginger, Umami 33, soy sauce, and pepper to make a marinade. Put the steak cubes into the marinade and let sit for one hour or longer.

Prepare a grill for direct heat cooking. Thread the meat and mushrooms onto the skewers. Grill for ~8 minutes or to desired doneness, brushing the meat with the leftover marinade. Remove from the grill and serve hot.
