Umami 33 Spicy Asparagus


Umami 33 Spicy Asparagus

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup Umami 33 sauce
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Asparagus spears
  • 4-5 scallions, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced



Combine the soy sauce, white vinegar, sugar, Umami 33 and red pepper flakes in a bowl and whisk to combine.

Add the olive oil to an iron skillet and place over high heat for at least 5 minutes.

Add the asparagus spears. Cook until they are tender, about 4-6 minutes, stirring every 20-30 seconds.

Add the scallions and cook for about another 4 minutes, stirring every 20-30 seconds.

Add the garlic and cook for about 10 seconds. Then add the Umami 33 sauce mixture. Cook for another 20-30 seconds and then serve.
