Umami 33 Spicy Green Beans

Recipe Ingredients

2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp white vinegar
2 tbsp sugar
5 tbsp Umami 33
½ tsp red pepper flakes
¾ lb green beans
4-5 scallions, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced

Recipe Instructions

Combine the soy sauce, white vinegar, sugar, Umami 33 and red pepper flakes in a bowl and whisk to combine.

Add the olive oil to an iron skillet and place over high heat for at least 5 minutes.

Add the green beans. Cook until they are tender, about 4 minutes, stirring every 20-30 seconds.

Add the scallions and cook for about another 4 minutes, stirring every 20-30 seconds.

Add the garlic and cook for about 10 seconds. Then add the Umami 33 sauce mixture. Cook for another 20-30 seconds and then serve.

We kept our base recipe, but altered it 33 times as we perfected the blend of spice and savory.
